Industrial Water Treatment

Industrial Water Treatment

In industrial wastewater treatment, specialized chemicals are essential for effective
purification and environmental compliance. These chemicals are designed to tackle
various challenges, such as clarifying water, preventing scale buildup, and removing
heavy metals. Key categories include flocculants, coagulants, dispersants, scale
inhibitors, and heavy metal precipitants, each serving specific roles in the treatment
process.

FLOCCULANTS

Types: Anionic, nonionic, and cationic flocculants.
Forms: Available as dry powder, liquid emulsion, and liquid solution.
Advantages: Dry powders offer high concentration; liquid forms are easier to use and
can be customized for different needs.

COAGULANTS

Type: Cationic organic coagulants in liquid form.
Concentration: Typically %8 to %70 active, with most effective concentrations around
%40 to %50.
Function: Helps particles clump together for easier removal from water

DISPERSANTS

Function: Reduce viscosity and stabilize particles in slurries.
Applications: Used in waste treatment, paints, ceramics, and more

SCALE INHIBITORS

Purpose: Prevent the formation of scales in industrial equipment.
Mechanisms: Work by inhibiting crystal growth or dispersing particles.

HEAVY METAL PRECIPITANTS

Function: Help remove heavy metals like lead and mercury from wastewater.
Importance: Crucial for meeting environmental regulations.
